This book is a sure winner in any middle school science class. The colorful illustrations and the overall layout is wonderful. It's not intimidating at all, even the most reluctant readers would probably find this book to be fun to read. Adrian Dingle really puts a new twist on the elements. One aspect in particular, that I really like about this book, is the appreciation I now have for the various elements, because of important parts they play in our universe. This is definitely a book that should embrace all home and classroom libraries.

This sounds like a book to add to my library. I'm not a big fan of science, especially chemistry. The thought of the periodic table of elements causes a bit of anxiety and takes me back to sophomore year in high school!
It also sounds like it would be very helpful to my population of students (special education). I think the elements (no pun intended) of the book that you highlight address problems that these students face. Problems such as information not being presented in a concise format, information that is too complex, information that doesn't interest the reader because they are unable to make connections to their life. Based on your review this book seems to provide solutions to these problems.
Thanks for the information Max. It is encouraging to know that authors like you exist for these children.
I look forward to reading and adding your books to my library!
